• Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity

Symptoms may include: heart palpitations arrhythmias, and chest pain; shortness of breaths and
    asthmatic attacks; perspiration; tremor and shivering; ravenous hunger; diarrhea and digestive issues;
    vertigo; vasomotor disturbances (flushing cold extremities, etc.); numbness and tingling; insomnia;
nausea and vomiting; frequent urination; rheumatic pains; nosebleeds and hemorrhage; itching; ringing
in the ears; metallic taste; weakness; irritability; exhaustion (Firstenberg, Australian Medical Association
reference provide descriptions) and of course, sensitivity to electricity and electromagnetic radiation,
which may produce these symptoms, and which many expert documents recommend be mitigated or
    eliminated to end this illness.

The mechanisms are discussed more completely in other books and documents, see sources.

It was also present in numerous wars (see heart document.) This is from a World War II study of patients
for the Committee of Medical Research of the Office of Scientific Research and Development, the office
created by President Roosevelt to coordinate scientific and medical research. In the 150-page report, it
    said:

“We conclude that neurocirculatory asthenia is a condition that actually exists, and has not been
invented by patients or medical observers. It is not malingering or simply a mechanism around during
war time for purposes of evading military service. The disorder is quite common both as a civilian and as
    a service problem.”

Terms used globally and throughout history:

Electromagnetic hypersensitivity, electrosmog sensitivity, telegraphic sickness, weather sensitivity,
railway spine, microwave sickness, radiowave sickness, effort syndrome, rapid aging syndrome, irritable
heart, neurasthenia, neurocirculatory asthenia, myalgic encephalomyelitis.

Myalgic encephalomyelitis (In 2011, 13 nations adopted international Consensus Criteria for those
suffering from “’post-exertional exhaustion’ plus specific neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory,
    immune, gastrointestinal, and other impairments.)

Neurasthenia is used in the former Soviet Union Eastern Europe and most of Asia. It is “generally
recognized that exposure to toxic agents, both chemical and electromagnetic, often causes this disease.”
(Firstenberg.) Half the world still uses this diagnosis.

Dr. Sigmund Freud redefined it as “anxiety neurosis,” yet the Russians rejected this definition and found
numerous environmental causes including electricity and electromagnetic radiation. In the United
States, the code for neurasthenia has been removed from the national version of the International
Classification of Diseases. It is listed only as one of many “other non-psychotic mental disorders” and
almost never diagnosed. It is often diagnosed as anxiety or another psychiatric diagnosis in the West.

Famous individuals with electromagnetic hypersensitivity include:

Weather sensitive: Lord Byron * Christopher Columbus * Dante * Charles Darwin * Benjamin Franklin *
Goethe * Victor Hugo * Leonardo da Vinci * Martin Luther * Michelangelo * Mozart * Napoleon *
    Rousseau * Voltaire

Hypersensitive to electromagnetic radiation: Finnish Prime Minister and Secretary General of the World
Health Organization Gro Harlem Brundtland * Former Nokia Chief Technology Officer Matt Niemela *
Scientist and Journalist Arthur Firstenberg * United Nations workers * Targeted Cuban diplomats

Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, M.D., M. Ph. served as the Director General of the World Health
Organization from 1998 to 2003 after serving two terms as the prime minister of Norway. She did not
allow cell phones in her office, getting headaches when they were within four meters. Her term was not
renewed after she gave an interview on her sensitivity.

Potentially related diagnosis and self-prescribed cures

Chronic fatigue syndrome * heart disease * cancer * diabetes * mood disorders * ADHD * insomnia *
obesity * fatty liver syndrome * panic attacks * irritable heart syndrome
    Self-prescribed cures of: Alcohol * marijuana * opioids * MDMA * other illegal drugs * Juuling * Ritalin *
energy drinks * melatonin * sleep aids * psychotropic drugs * cigarettes

    Perspective and cures:

“Humans are electric beings,” says US and Israeli licensed Dafna Tachover, who spent months living in
her car, “and there is no mechanism in the human body that protects from radiation. Therefore to
claim that this radiation is not affecting us is ignorant and absurd. [Electromagnetic hypersensitivity]
is not a disease, it is an environmentally induced condition to which no one is immune.”

“Nothing protects you form this functional impairment, not political stance, not your income, not sex,
skin color, age, where you live, or what you do for a living. Anyone can be affected. These people
suffer radiation damage from gadgets that have been proudly introduced without ever having been
formally tested for toxic environment exposures or any other types of health hazard.” – Olle Johnson,
who has seen his research funding disappear and been marginalized.

“[Electromagnetic hypersensitivity], a travesty of a name for a disease that affects the whole world
and everyone in it, a name as absurd as ‘cyanide sensitivity’ would be if anyone were foolish enough
to apply such a name to those poisoned. The problem is that we are all being electrocuted to a
greater or lesser extent, and because society has been in denial about that for more than two
hundred years, we invent terms that hide the truth instead of speaking in plain language and
    admitting what is happening.”

“What makes me sad is to see all the people who can’t escape and get to a pure environment,
because if you can’t get to a pure environment it will destroy you.‘ Considering that an estimated five
percent of the population know they have been injured, and that perhaps one of four of them have
had to leave their homes, the need for refugee aid is enormous.” Survivor Dr. Erica Mallery-Blythe,
    then Arthur Firstenberg
